Welcome — refined green experiences for hospitality

Leaf Studio brings together horticulture, spatial design and sensory planning to create outdoor rooms that complement guest rituals and spa programs. We design every garden with a priority on seasonal interest, tactile planting, shade structures and discreet service access so that aesthetics and operation work together. From compact entry courtyards to hotel rooftop sanctuaries and spa perimeter planting, our approach is practical, evidence-based and delightfully tailored to the way people move through and use outdoor places.

Our process starts with an on-site study and environmental assessment: soil, microclimate, sunlight paths and service routes. We then prepare concept diagrams, plant palettes and hardscape options. Emphasis is placed on durable materials, low-maintenance species and layered plant design that provides year-round structure. The result is an outdoor setting that improves guest satisfaction, extends usable space, and reinforces the identity of the property while keeping maintenance predictable and cost-efficient.

Who We Are

Leaf Studio was founded by a collective of landscape architects, horticulturists and hospitality designers who observed a gap between decorative planting and guest-focused outdoor programming. We prioritize legibility and hospitality: clear paths, comfortable seating niches, purposeful plantings for scent and texture, and resilient choices that perform across seasons. Collaboration with hotel operations teams ensures that installations are beautiful and maintainable.

Our methodology balances creative concept with technical rigour. Every project is documented with maintenance guides, planting schedules and seasonal pruning calendars so that the design intention can be preserved over time. We also support staff training and on-call horticultural advice during the first year after installation. Beyond aesthetics, our designs aim to improve thermal comfort, biodiversity and guest dwell-time, positively influencing both wellbeing and commercial metrics.

Perks — why hospitality clients choose us

Tailored Guest-Centric Design

Every plan is designed around how guests will use the space. We map arrival flows, sun and shade cycles, service access, and moments for quiet or socialising. Thoughtful placement of seating, lighting and planting creates pockets of privacy and social terraces so that each outdoor area supports the property’s service model. The resulting spaces are restful, legible and easy to maintain — boosting guest dwell-times and positive feedback.

Operationally Responsible Landscapes

We collaborate with operations teams from day one to ensure the design aligns with housekeeping, grounds maintenance and procurement realities. Plant choices are vetted for durability and pest resistance; irrigation systems are specified for efficiency and zonal control. Maintenance manuals and straightforward planting schedules reduce surprises and keep long-term budgets predictable — a major advantage for hospitality owners who need performance and reliability.

Bespoke Plant Palettes & Local Sourcing

Each property receives a bespoke palette that respects local ecology while supporting aesthetic goals. We prioritize locally grown specimens, seasonal understory, and structural planting that offers year-round interest. Partnering with regional nurseries and artisan suppliers reduces transport footprint and increases the chance of planting success — while giving the gardens a sense of rooted authenticity.

Sustainability & Resource Efficiency

Water-wise design, reclaimed materials and efficient irrigation are core principles of our work. Wherever possible we integrate passive shading, rainwater collection, and soils that improve infiltration and reduce runoff. Sustainable choices are applied pragmatically to protect both the environment and the bottom line, enabling properties to meet guest expectations for greener stays without escalating maintenance overhead.

Sensory-Rich Landscapes

Gardens are composed to engage more than sight: scent corridors, touchable foliage, and layered seasonal textures amplify guest experience. In spa-adjacent zones, we emphasize calming fragrances and soft soundscapes; in social courtyards, we balance durable paving with lush planters and acoustic planting. The goal is a holistic sensory program that supports rest, play and memorable moments.

End-to-End Delivery & Post-Installation Support

From concept sketches to plant establishment we manage procurement, installation and training. After handover we provide seasonal check-ins, pruning schedules and a first-year establishment package to ensure plantings settle and perform. This continuity reduces risk and allows operators to measure the value of new outdoor spaces through occupancy impact and guest satisfaction metrics.

Concept & Master Planning

We produce clear concept plans that translate brand needs into spatial strategy. Deliverables include site analysis, schematic layouts, plant palettes, material boards and phasing options. The planning stage addresses circulation, accessibility, service access and lighting so the final design is both inviting and operationally sensible. Plans are presented with high-quality visuals to ease stakeholder approvals.

Installation & Hardscape Coordination

We oversee contractors, paving, irrigation and planting installation to ensure the build matches the intent. Our project management protocols coordinate schedules tightly with hotel operations to reduce disruption. We also specify durable furniture and lighting that complements the planting and withstands intensive use typical in hospitality settings.

Planting Design & Horticulture

Detailed planting plans include species lists, density recommendations and establishment strategies. We select plants for colour, scent, texture and pest resilience, with an eye to layered seasonal interest. Planting methodology and soil improvements are specified to give new plantings the best chance of success in the given microclimate.

Seasonal Maintenance Packages

Maintenance plans are customised: from weekly softscape care to quarterly pruning, fertilisation and irrigation tuning. Our packages are transparent and scalable, helping properties to balance guest experience with predictable operational budgets. We also offer staff training sessions to transfer knowledge and handling practices to in-house gardeners.

Spa & Wellness Garden Programming

For spa-adjacent planting we craft restorative palettes and layout sequences that support treatments and relaxation rituals. Planting layout, scent corridors, privacy screens and gentle water features are combined to extend indoor wellness offerings into the garden, creating a seamless therapeutic environment that guests can inhabit before and after treatments.

Green Retrofits & Rooftop Conversions

We convert underused rooftops and terraces into profitable green spaces: dining terraces, rooftop gardens or event lawns. Structural assessment, lightweight soil solutions and modular planters are used where full-depth soil is unavailable. These retrofits increase usable square footage and generate measurable revenue uplift when configured for guest use.
